They say that money can’t buy happiness. I say that’s bullshit. The lesson they try to teach is that even with tons of money, you may not be happy. In reality, if you know what makes you happy, you can buy stuff that makes you happy. There are days when I’m at work and I’m having a horrible day. I’m swamped, no breaks, it’s not letting up, and there is no end in sight. I break for lunch and walk out to my car. I get in the car and sigh, this day fucking sucks! I start the car and hit the switches to get the car off the ground. A smile comes over my face and I relax. I drive to a restaurant to eat and air out. Another smile hits my face. Maybe on the way back to lunch I drop and drag. Another smile and laughter hit me. No matter how shitty the day is, every day, my lunch break refreshes me. It makes me happy. It calms my nerves. It helps put me in a mood to face the second half of my day. Most people won’t understand, but for me and my car family, we can appreciate it.
