About 6-7 years ago I had a humor site/blog called number2dad.com. This was the banner image for the site. Still one of my favorite photos I’ve taken just because of the good memories it brings.

A couple of weekends ago, I shot this photo of my parents enjoying a beer and watching the sunset in the lake. They thought it would be a cool photo and it turned out really great. It even looked especially great printed out poster sized. This is the final photo I went with.

During the shoot, though, there were lots of photos not used. Many were due to bad posing or the composition was off. But a few of them were thrown out on account of ducks. The ducks swam through in the middle of the shoot and went right up to my parents for awhile before they finally moved on. Here’s one with the ducks:
