I hate the forums and I hate today’s youth. Prepared to lose followers.

I’ve tried staying away from most forums for awhile but found myself on StanceWorks today reading a few build threads. Within the first page of the first thread I was immediately disappointed in the kids on the forums. It bothers me that so many of you mindless idiots pick up some of the dumbest slang and don’t think twice about using it. As I scrolled through the thread, every other post was “tits”, “titties”, “looks so tits bro”, etc. You sound like a bunch of assholes. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard it and it certainly isn’t the first time I’ve openly hated a group of people for using it. The first time I heard it was about 8 years ago on the forums. I had never heard it used in real life before because I’m not friends with douchebags. It continued on being used on the forums for about a year and then it died out. It’s now become popular again as I see it all over the forums. The problem I have with this phrase is that it makes no sense. I have never looked at a car and had the word “titties” pop into my head. I have tried to imagine what kind of person would see anything, aside from breasts, and exclaim “tits!” I picture a guy in a helmet with a bad case of Tourette’s. My other issue is tits/titties are words children use. This is the vocabulary you choose to use? It’s almost like you’re giving up on trying to sound halfway intelligent. When I hear/see people use that phrase, I honestly just assume that they’re unemployed or they have a shitty job that is either in the porn industry or loosely associated with it. Kids, it’s time to start acting a little more grown up. I hope the Swagburglar visits each and every one of you and drinks all of your energy drinks and burgles all your silly nonsense.

So damn sexy!

Congratulations to Tek on his new position at StanceWorks! Snapped this shot of him on Saturday while we were hanging out at Drew’s Grand Opening BBQ.

Each time I watch Drive I get the urge to buy some Lowly Gentlemen driving gloves.

But…not for driving.

Mike Burroughs! Welcome! You’ve just been inducted into my gallery of shitty iPad “art.” It would have been better, but I’m a bit rusty. (No pun intended.)

The power of StanceWorks.

For my followers who aren’t familiar with StanceWorks, this is how powerful they are. Anytime they post a new feature, photos of the car flood my dashboard. Not simply one photo of the car, but links to the feature, photos, different combinations of photos are blogged and reblogged repeatedly. This is not a complaint, but is a hat tip to a website that not only caters to enthusiasts, but is also run by enthusiasts. You don’t see that from any other website. Every single time that I see a car flood my dashboard, I can guarandamntee you that the source is StanceWorks. In all the years that I have been in various car scenes, I have never seen a website/magazine/etc. that brings together enthusiasts from such vastly varying car scenes. I get asked about the StanceWorks banners on my car from time to time. I wanted to write something to explain why I rep them. Stay low brothers and sisters!

After last night’s critiquing of my “lowrider” at the bar, I think I need a windshield banner that reads “Trashy Piece Of Shit” or maybe replace my “S T A N C E | W O R K S” banner with a “S H I T | W O R K S” banner. Thoughts?

I wish StanceWorks was better optimized for the iPad. But it does let you play mad libs with the missing words.
