This snuck up on me. Realized that it’s been 1 year since I picked up my TDI. Here’s a before/after with one of the latest pics grabbed with my iPhone. It’s been a good year.

April 2011 - roughly 140 miles on the odometer all from the test drive and driving it home from the dealership in Dallas.

February 2012 - roughly 10,000 miles on the odometer.
This just rotated in as my desktop background. One of my favorite pics I took that day and wanted to share.
My future wheels during the test fit today. 19x8.5 ET35 Rotiform NUE with polished windows and barrels.
Shot some video of my MK6 on air. At the end I raised to my normal ride height and then backed out of the garage. When I drop off the 1.5” drop out of the garage you can hear my skid plate smack the concrete. Go low or go home.

The majority of forums love the car. But it doesn’t matter. I didn’t modify this car so the forums would be happy. But the compliments are heartwarming. What I wasn’t expecting was to come to work and have several people call me the most racist of words starting with “N”. Thanks for showing that small-minded, racist bullshit isn’t dead. Dickheads.
